Dear Fellow Christmas Tree Grower,
I am writing to share news about the National Christmas Tree Association (NCTA) and to ask for your support. We have
switched the management of NCTA to Tim O'Connor & Associates effective July 1. As you may know they are also the
management team for the Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The Christmas Spirit Foundation also chose them as their management team effective July 1.
Choosing Tim O'Connor & Associates as NCTA's management team brings years of experience and expertise to help
realign NCTA to achieve the focus and success the leadership and the industry are seeking from its national trade
association. Moreover, the efficiency of one team managing the Christmas tree industry's Checkoff, Trade Association
and Foundation will maximize the synergy, communication and coordination between the organizations.
The NCTA Executive Committee and Board are excited about this change and the promise of a new, streamlined future.
We are membership funded and membership driven; we need your support and your membership to accomplish our goals.
NCTA fills a unique and critical place as the advocacy organization for the Christmas Tree Industry; a role the Christmas
Tree Promotion Board is prohibited from fulfilling. I know we need both NCTA and CTPB for the industry to succeed and have its best possible future. And to succeed, NCTA needs you as a member.
Please rejoin NCTA today and help us make the transition to a more focused and more effective NCTA. Your support
today is vital to achieving this goal. We don't know all the changes we will make yet, but our priorities will narrow to do a better job on the things the industry has said matter most:
- Public Policy/Governmental Affairs
- Voice of the Industry
- Fire Issues and Fire Codes
I can't state it any more straightforward than this is a critical time for NCTA, we need you on board now; this is the time
it really matters.
